Welcome
Our state, national, and local governments wage a relentless war against the ongoing financial crisis of our time by battling it with mediocre ideas and outdated concepts. It seems that every new arising leader resorts to the same blue print and strategies of the one before him.
The many ideas that are implemented and those that result in a bill being passed all usually share one distinct characteristic- a financial burden on our citizens.
Each time an elected official justifies a new tax increase or budget cut, it’s with the promise of future financial relief. More often than not, the new plans create more expenses for citizens, almost always affecting the lower and middle classes the most.
The world of business, not governments, is what sustains economies. The basic concept of products and services for profit is what insures financial abundance. More action, less talk, better ideas, and fresh minds are what’s needed to set forth effective improvements. Governmental agencies that embrace a business framework will always possess the possibility of profit. Cities, counties, and municipalities should engage in programs that generate revenue, which in turn will provide financial relief for all residents. For this reason, elected officials should consist of business people, with business minds, not just attorneys, or members of law enforcement. Changing the standard stereotype of elected officials is the key to moving in the right direction. A diverse mixture of professions and backgrounds is what the government should be about, not electing the same type of candidate year after year, especially when most of the pledged long term improvements have not led to any sign of measurable progression. |
